Care and Maintenance

Treat your newly resurfaced or resealed floor as if it were refinished hardwood.  A sealer is simply a protective coating and it can be worn down if you are not careful.  If you have a favorite chair on the patio, be sure that you take your weight off the chair when moving the chair in or out of its position.  This will significantly reduce the wearing of the sealer, thus prolonging its life and saving you money.

Like any other exterior surface, occasional cleaning is required to maintain its newly resurfaced appearance.  A simple weekly rinsing with a garden hose to remove light debris and spills can minimize the amount of heavy duty cleaning.  For heavy surface marks, spills or stains, use a non-abrasive cleaner, such as Fantastik or 409, and a product like CLR to wash away rust stains.

Do not allow automotive leaks, such as gasoline, oil or transmission fluid to remain on the newly finished surface.   If you see a puddle automotive fluid, be sure to wipe it up as soon as possible with a clean rag.  Protective discs should be placed under the feet of heavy objects to avoid scratching the sealer when moved.

If you have questions about anything at all, please call us and we'll come out and take a look at it for you at no charge.  If it is something that we can fix reasonably quick while we are there (15 to 20 minutes), you will not be charged for the service call.  If the repair requires more time, we will provide an estimate at that time and we'll most likely begin the process right away.

It is best to stay off of the newly refinished floor for a minimum of 72 hours to achieve the best curing possible, especially driveway surfaces.
